Harvest staff: Opportunities for Care Staff
Throughout the United Kingdom there is an ever-growing demand for reliable, committed and motivated workers to look after an increasingly ageing population.
Our clients, who own residential care and nursing homes, require care assistants (with or without formal experience and qualifications) to work in congenial environments.
You do not need to be/have been employed in such a capacity previously (though there is considerable demand for such people) as training will be available for all successful applicants.
The most important qualities required are:
• reasonable command of English (including ability to read and write in the language)
• real desire to work with the elderly
• intension to stay in the UK for at least one year (the whole course (in total) should last about 3 years if a candidate took NVQ2, NVQ3 and NVQ4 (or about one year for each course), but in some cases it can take a bit longer)

For Nurses, we will provide a suitable course at NVQ level 4. This is because they would not likely obtain a UK Visa if applying for an NVQ2 or NVQ3 since the Entry Clearance Officer would presume them “overqualified”.
As part of the service to staff from other countries, we assist with:
• travel arrangements
• finding suitable accommodation
• arranging English language tuition
Candidates do not require a Work Permit. Coming from Bulgaria or Romania each candidate will be required to obtain a BRI from the Home Office (which will be applied for by Harvest Staff Ltd).
